In a clear demonstration of people-centered governance, 617 residents of Lekki LCDA received free medical care at the Council Secretariat during a well-attended Health Outreach Programme.

Organized by the Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Mbalaso Chidinma, the initiative delivered a wide range of essential healthcare services, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, laboratory tests, dental care, eye screenings, medical consultations, provision of medications, and health counselling.

The Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), was present at the outreach, where he engaged with residents and emphasized the importance of taking personal health seriously. He encouraged beneficiaries and the wider community to take full advantage of the services available across all Primary Health Centres in Lekki LCDA, urging regular visits for check-ups and proper care.

He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the wellbeing of the people, noting that efforts are underway to make such outreaches more frequent, ensuring that more residents continue to benefit from accessible and preventive healthcare.

For many beneficiaries, it was more than just a routine check-up, it was access to professional care they might have otherwise delayed or not gotten at all.

This intervention reflects the broader healthcare vision of the Chairman, whose administration continues to prioritize accessible, preventive, and community-based healthcare delivery across Lekki LCDA.
